Sebastian "Deacen" Remy (born December 25th, 1979) is a American actor. He began his career portraying Michael Bergen on the ABC sitcom Two Guys, a and a Pizza Place (1998–2001). He made his major film debut playing the title character in the cult hit Donnie Darko (2001) for which he won the award for 'Breakthrough Performance, Male' at the 2002 Young Hollywood Awards. We went on to star in variety of films including End of Watch (2012), Drive (2011), Fury (2014) and Southpaw (2015).

EARLY LIFE

Deacen Remy was born on December 25th, 1979 in Long Beach, California. His father, Sebastian Remy, is an accountant, and his mother, Angelina, is a director, producer and writer. He is of Irish ancestry and was raised Roman Catholic. The oldest of two children, he grduated from Millikan High School in 1996. He attended California State University at Long Beach for two years studying journalism before dropping out to pursue his acting career in 1998. His mother, a famous name in Hollywood herself, encouraged her son to pursue any career he dreamed of. CAREER

Remy's career began in 1998, when he starred as Michael Bergen on the ABC sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. In 2000 he made the move to film with the role of Karl O'Reilly in Big Monster on Campus. The next year he played the title character in Donnie Darko. Through the early 2000s he played such varying roles as the comedic yet strong Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity as well as more serious roles, such as Anthony Swofford in the war film Jarhead. His career really took on in 2011 when he starred in the film Drive. Remy starred as a stun driver by day, getaway driver by night (alongside actress Sadie Reinhart). Though his performance received high praising reviews from the critics, awards did not come his way. End of Watch (2012) was another powerful performance from Remy. He starred alongside Michael Pena, Anna Kendrick and Roxana Calderon portraying two Los Angeles street cops (and their spouses) and the many trials and tribulations. In 2014 Remy reunited with Michael Pena as the fearless Grady "Coon-Ass" Travis in the World War II film Fury alongside Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman. In 2015 Remy took on the role as boxer Billy Hope in the film Southpaw alongside then girlfriend Kira Preston. Remy described it as one of his favorite projects to work on. An avid fan of exercise, Remy spent nearly 6 months prior to filming training with various boxing gyms around the country. In 2016 he took on another action role as a deadly assassin in the film The Accountant alongside actor Ben Affleck. This year Remy is set to star as Griff in Baby Driver, David Percival in Atomic Blonde and Officer K in the much anticipated Blake Runner 2049.

PERSONAL LIFE

Remy has spent most of his life in the public eye. His mother, Angelina Remy, is an award winning director, producer and writer. Remy has been quoted as saying he spent days on end on set with his mother learning the craft he grew to love. Though he enjoys comedy, his true passion lies in action, adventure and drama projects. As of 2016 Remy has been residing in Malibu, California. Remy was also arrested in 2015 after an altercation with another male at a nightclub in New York. He was released and plead "no contest". The terms of probation were never released to the public. A few months later he was arrested again for drunk driving. According to court documents, Remy plead "guilty", getting off with a fine, probation, community service and a suspended license.

Remy is not only known for his work on-screen. He had been linked to over a dozen actresses in Hollywood (dubbed "The New Leo"). Remy's most public relationship started with actress Kira Preston in 2013. The two were the couple on everyone's mind. At the time Preston was America's Sweetheart. Remy was an action star with a long dating history. Though many question the authenticity of the relationship, the couple stayed together through mid-2015 before quietly separating. Though neither party gave a statement regarding the breakup, many gossip magazines and websites speculated infidelity on the part of Remy. Remy has also been linked to actress Roxana Calderon (the two worked together on End of Watch as well Atomic Blonde and the upcoming Blade Runner project). Many describe Remy as adventurous, never saying no to a challenge and closing down any party. When he's not on set Remy can usually be found at the local crossfit facility or boxing gym. Remy is known for his willingness to take pictures with his fans. He credits then with helping him through tough times in his life.
